Prof. Liaquat Ali Samma

Prof. Liaquat Ali Samma joined Cadet College Petaro in 1971 as teacher of English, and left in 1975.

He was born on 2 February 1938, and got married to Mrs. Hakiman Hamida (late) on 4 July 1959. They did not have any children.

Prof. Samma got his M.A. English from Sindh University. Later on, he obtained a second M.A. degree in English Literature from Warwick University, UK.

During his stay at Petaro, he was the Associate House Master of Ayub House. He was also the Acting House Master of Iqbal House for a short while prior to leaving the college in 1975.

After leaving Petaro, he taught English at Damavand College, Tehran, Iran from 1975-1980. He was then inducted to teach English at the Iranian Air Force Training Company from 1981-1998. He retired from there as the Chairman of the English Department.

Upon return to Pakistan, he then worked at Isra University as Associate Professor of English from 1998-2009, and is now working as Visiting Faculty Professor of English Language at Sindh University, Old Campus, Hyderabad.
